The heat finally got me. In a week full of gas guzzling adventures, yesterday was the pinnacle. Unshowered, half dressed, with haphazardly thrown vacation articles in the backseat, Hayley and I tore out of town. Destination: Cooler Oasis. I even forgot to bring a map. The air conditioning went out in the Buick at about milepost 42, of our 200 mile odyssey. Ah, leather seats, I love the way you cling to the back of my sweaty legs! We ate drive thru food, sucked down water from Slidewater's bubbler, and remembered the three most important things; our swimsuits!, sunblock, and cash. Did I mention our awesome attitudes? All afternoon, we had huge grins on our faces, trudging barefoot up a cement hill, gazing out over glistening Lake Chelan wavy in the 98 degree heat, and then careening blissfully through smooth, fiberglass tubes filled with ice cold mountain water. We even shivered while we waited in line. Ahh!!!

OK... so I'm super jealous of you. That place (Slidewaters) is the best water slide park in the NW. Many hours from a misspent youth were left on the path leading up to the tube slide.
Ahhhh!
